The Ivorian youngster has been in contact with the Reds over the £70m transfer move.

The 24-year-old caught the attention of Europe’s elites due to the impressive season in Ligue 1, racking up 23 assists and 11 assists in all competitions. Furthermore, he also played a pivotal role for his side to achieve Champions League qualification.

Now, the German gaffer wants Pepe’s transfer at the expense of one of his pivotal players for the past two seasons.

The Egyptian ace enjoyed another wonderful campaign with the Reds, bagging 27 goals and 8 assists across competitions. He also won the Premier League’s golden boot for 2018/19 season and his goal against Chelsea will contend for the Puskas award as well.

Opinion:

This must be the worst transfer rumor to break out so far this summer. Liverpool are best priced by the best betting sites to win the Premier League and compete for the Champions League next season on the back of an amazing season at 1/5 and to get the maximum points going into the season, Klopp needs his main man Mo Salah and there is no way he would be willing to sacrifice his superstar and potentially the best attacker in the league.

Pepe’s playing style is the same as Salah

The Ligue 1 star occupies the pitch in a similar way that Salah does, an inverted winger looks to cut in from the right flank. Pepe can also be deployed as a second striker and a centre-forward.

And the relationship with Salah turns out to be another reason for the former Borussia Dortmund manager’s decision as everyone is well of their fall out earlier this season.

Furthermore, the former AS Roma man is also linked with a move to La Liga giants Real Madrid.

The Merseyside club ended their season on a high note by lifting the Champions League title despite missing out on the League title.
