Liverpool beating PL biggies to land this Real Madrid star would hand them the league title

Why Liverpool should definitely make a move for Isco in January

Liverpool definitely need a new creative midfielder if Klopp is to mount a serious title challenge and take Manchester City down from their pedestal. The Reds clinched a last-minute victory against their derby rivals Everton last weekend but their midfield once again lacked that creative edge.

Klopp is surely has to look at options when the transfer market reopens as the Reds’ front three also tends to struggle at times. Without having a quality midfielder who can create chances in your team, it’s going to be difficult for Liverpool to keep this up all season. The Reds are currently just 2 points behind City and are maintaining the pressure so far.

According to the Sun, Real Madrid midfielder Isco Alarcon has been linked with Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur. The Spaniard has not started a single game under new manager Santiago Solari.

Liverpool should definitely consider bringing him in given it would be a perfect addition to Klopp’s side. Isco is one of the best attacking midfielders in the world and always loves to dazzle the crowd with his attractive style of football.

He possesses an immaculate first touch and control on the ball. The 26-year-old can play anywhere in the midfield but brings out his best when fielded through the centre, where he can dictate the play in the final third. Isco is also very good in the team’s own half where he likes to pick up the ball and surge forward to start the attack.

The Spaniard is brilliant at twisting and turning to beat his markers, which sees many defenders get caught out of their position. This would allow Liverpool’s front three of Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah receive ample space to make their runs. Firmino’s responsibility of dropping deep way too often to create space will also reduce if Klopp can bring Isco in.

Isco has scored 1 goal and provided 2 assists in 10 appearances this season, although only 5 of them have been starts. He is a supreme passer of the ball as well and can effortlessly release the Reds’ front three into space. (Stats courtesy – Whoscored)

Liverpool should definitely beat their competition to sign the Spanish international. If they fail to bring in a creative midfielder, it will eventually prove to come unstuck for the Merseyside club.

They have made their best ever start to a Premier League campaign and are yet to be beaten so far. Klopp cannot afford another slip up.
