Liverpool are linked with a surprise transfer as the Reds are reportedly looking to sign Seville midfielder Steven N’Zonzi.
According to the Mirror, N’Zonzi is looking for a move out of Seville and heading back to England and the Reds are keeping close tabs on the situation. Earlier Seville refused an offer from Leicester City, amounting to £18m, as the player’s buyout clause is £21m.
The Reds are interested in signing the player, however Liverpool are in disadvantage as Seville will be playing Champions League football next season, for which the Merseysiders did not qualify. N’Zonzi is looking to play the Champions League football as he joined Seville for the same from Stoke City earlier. While the Reds do not have Champions League football next season in their kitty, a move to the Leicester City will be a better option for the player who wants to return to England.
