Likely Tottenham Line Up To Play Against Borussia Dortmund – Eriksen Benched, Alli To Start?

Tottenham’s three goal loss to Borussia Dortmund could come a long way to decide what Spurs do with the remaining games in the season. Tottenham are five points behind Leicester City in the Premier League standings and now face Dortmund in the second leg of the Europa League clash.

Spurs fielded an inexperienced side for the Signal Iduna Park game and that led to the debacle in Germany, which means that unless Mauricio Pochettino really thinks that Dortmund are there for the taking, he would not send out a strong side as he looks at domestic glory more than a European crown.

We predict the starting line-up for Spurs in this Europa League tie.

Hugo Lloris

The French goalkeeper should keep his place in the team, even if Tottenham don’t have a great chance of making it into the next round.

Kieran Trippier

The defender should look to impress in his role against Dortmund but facing the German side’s attackers won’t be easy.

Toby Alderweireld

The Belgian is the only proper fit central defender along with Kevin Wimmer and must start the game for Spurs.

Kevin Wimmer

No Vertonghen yet means Wimmer keeps his place in the team and continues his role in the heart of the defence.

Ben Davies

The left-back will be looking to impress Mauricio Pochettino as he looks to make this spot his own for the remainder of this season.

Moussa Dembele

The Belgian’s importance for the side is impressive considering how close he was to losing his sport in the side and he should keep his place in the team in this Europa League clash.

Eric Dier

The English midfielder might have started as defender at Spurs but he has grown and gotten better as he plays in a defensive role in the centre of the field, which suits him and the team really well.

Heung Son Min

The South Korean hasn’t done a lot this season for Spurs but this could be the game where he shows what he is capable off.

Dele Alli

Dele Alli has had a wonderful season so far for Tottenham this year but it seems that he is fading away with the sheer number of games played but he should start in this game

Erik Lamela

The Argentine could play in place of Eriksen and could well be looking to show what he can do on the pitch for Spurs against a tough Dortmund side.

Harry Kane

The Englishman scored twice in the game against Aston Villa in the weekend and would be looking to do some damage to the Dortmund defence.
