Probable Everton Lineup For 2017/18 Season with Klaassen And Sandro Ramirez In The Team

Everton manager Ronald Koeman is in no mood to fool around as he is now looking to get deals done for his top transfer targets, more than a couple of weeks before the start of the transfer window. While he has already landed Sunderland’s Jordan Pickford, he is also looking at some exciting additions to his attack next season.

With Belgian star Romelu Lukaku expected to quit the club this summer, Koeman has to add more than one name to his attack and reports claim that they are closing in on the signing of two exciting stars in Sandro Ramirez and Davy Klaassen. Reports suggest that Everton are close to landing the Dutch attacking midfielder and the Spanish striker. While the Dutchman is rated at around £15.8, Sandro has a release clause of £5.2m. But how will Koeman’s side lineup next season in attack with the duo in the team?

While the backline also needs to be improved, we are concentrating on the midfield and attacking part of the lineup. Koeman constantly used a 4-3-3 system last season but it might be time for him to switch to a more attacking 4-2-3-1, to cover for the loss of their top goal scorer.

Former Manchester United star Morgan Schneiderlin, newbie Idrissa Gueye, and the exciting Tom Davies have all been exceptional in the middle of the park for the Toffees. Muhamed Besic, James McCarthy and Gareth Barry are all backups for the trio. Schneiderlin and Gueye are expected to be the first choice midfield pairing next season.

Sandro Ramirez

This is where it gets interesting. While Ross Barkley may yet quit the club, he should be the first choice next season if he decides to stay. But he will have to play a role exclusively on the wings, with Koeman spending on Klaassen. The Dutch star is the perfect number 10 for a club like Everton and he should start just behind the main striker next season.

Kevin Mirallas has not been consistent but he could yet keep his place in the first team next season. He could start on the left-wing while Barkley starts on the right flank. Koeman may yet add another winger to his side or may use Enner Valencia or even Yannick Bolasie on the wings next season.

Romelu Lukaku was the undisputed striker for Everton last season. He hardly had a backup in the first team. So his replacement Sandro Ramirez is expected to walk straight into the first team and lead the attack for the Toffees. Though he does not have the experience of playing in England, he was terrific in La Liga last season and Koeman will hope that he brings the same kind of form to Everton as well.
