Probable Fulham Line-Up For The Pre-Season Friendly With West Ham

Fulham head to Austria for some pre-season work ahead of an intriguing Championship season, and while in Graz will take on London rivals and Premier League side West Ham United.

Second guessing who manager Slavisa Jokanovic will pick and in what position at this point is on the impossible side of difficult, but it’s worth a bash! Some will be fitter than others at this stage but it’s easy to see the boss picking his strongest available side given that they will want to impress against top level opposition.

Fulham will quietly go about their business in the transfer market this summer and will be among those fancied to make the top six next season, a good run in the friendlies can get them off to a lightning start.

Probable Fulham XI

Manager: Slavisa Jokanovic

Formation: 4-2-3-1

GK – Marcus Bettinelli

The 25-year-old usurped David Button at the back end of last season for this position and may be given the nod.

RB – Ryan Fredericks

Did well as an attacking right-back last term complementing Scott Malone on the other side and can carry on from where he left off.

CB – Tim Ream

Was a rock last year next to the on-loan Kalas and another good season can be expected of him.

CB – Michael Madl

Madl might be given the chance to impress in his homeland, alongside Tim Ream. Will be interesting to see how he makes use of the opportunity.

LB – Sean Kavanagh

You’d think of a longer term solution. Will be found here this season and the young Irishman can take his chance.

CM – Ibrahima Cisse

Naturally, it’ll be hard to displace Stefan Johansen from the side on a permanent basis but as a new signing, he may be given the chance to impress.

CM – Kevin McDonald

Fulham clearly rate him very highly and they will try their best to hold on to him. If he stays, he is a definite starter.

RW – Sone Aluko

The ex-Rangers and Hull man continues to impress at Championship level and should be fit enough to go well early in the pre-season.

Tom Cairney

CAM – Tom Cairney

The Scotland international committing to Fulham was a pleasant surprise for most fans and he will lead them in this game.

LW – Ryan Sessegnon

Sessegnon remains a real improver and can impress in an advanced position this season. He is such a valuable asset and will be crucial to Fulham’s success this campaign.

ST – Cauley Woodrow

New striking solutions will probably be sought in the coming weeks, but Woodrow is still only 22 and can yet get better and live up to what was a big reputation when he broke into the team.
