Liverpool striker Christian Benteke was expected to leave the club in the summer for either Crystal Palace or West Ham United. However as per the latest revelation from his agent Kismet Eris, the player is set to stay at Liverpool.
The 25 year old moved from Aston Villa only a season ago and while he was welcomed with a lot of expectations, the striker has majorly disappointed the fans and the Liverpool manager. Brendan Rogers and Jurgen Klopp, both ignored the player during their tenure and the Belgian international was thought to be ready to leave. Crystal Palace even got a jump on him when an offer of £25 million came from the club but Liverpool rejected the offer.
The striker clearly wants to fight for his place at Liverpool and he still has 4 years left on his contract. This is further corroborated by Eris telling Sky Sports News that there is no truth about the reports of him leaving Anfield.
