“Lennon should be nowhere near the team”, “Needs to go”: Some Celtic fans furious with manager after 0-0 stalemate vs Livingston + Match Report

Celtic v Livingston Report – Celtic Match Report

Celtic will have to wait a bit before they claim the Scottish Premiership after they were held to a goalless draw by Livingston at the Parkhead.

A win for Neil Lennon’s men could have forced Rangers to win tomorrow, or else we could seen the Hoops being crowned as the domestic champions once again.

However, that was not to be as Livingston did well, stuck to their task and kept the reigning champions at arms length. They had to thank their goalkeeper to help them keep the clean sheet.

Ryan Christie had a first good chance for the hosts, but his low shot was easily saved by the Livi keeper Liam Kelly. The latter was in action again, this time to turn a good James Forrest attempt around the post.

Kelly impressed again when he managed to thwart Tom Rogic from scoring. The Australian international had another presentable opportunity inside the box, but the Livingston stopper was at it again.

As the second half wore on, it started becoming more frustrating for Celtic as the visitors were tight and not allowed much space in between the lines.

The breakthrough almost came when substitute Timothy Weah had a chance from a Jonny Hayes cross. The PSG loanee fluffed his chance but the ball fell to Odsonne Edouard, whose attempt was well saved by Kelly.

Right at the end, the Livingston keeper spilled out while making a save and the ball fell kindly for Oliver Burke three yards out. But the Scotland international managed to miss from there.

All in all, a frustrating afternoon for Celtic, however, they are still way ahead in the title race and should be able to complete the job in the coming weeks.

Here’s how their fans reacted after this game:
