Leicester City vs Norwich City Prediction: Leicester City line-up

High flying Leicester City host a struggling Norwich City at the King Power Stadium on Saturday.

It has been a contrasting display from both the sides this so far, with the Foxes sitting comfortably at second place, while Norwich are just one place above bottom-placed Watford.

Brendan Rodgers’ Leicester enter the match as clear favourites, having won all of their last 8 league matches. Meanwhile, Norwich boss Daniel Farke has a tough task ahead of him, with the Canaries facing relegation threat and managing to win just one of their last 11 matches.

Having conceded 34 goals already, Norwich have one of the worst defences in the league. The Foxes, on the other hand, boast of the best defensive record this season, letting in just 10 goals so far.

Nothing less than a victory could save Norwich from further ruin when they meet the in-form Leicester this weekend.

Team news

Except for injured midfielder Matthew James, Rodgers has a fully-fit squad at his disposal. After leaving out Ayoze Perez and Harvey Barnes from the starting XI in the match against Aston Villa, the weekend clash could once again see them back in action.

Predicted Leicester City line-up

Formation: 4-1-4-1

Kasper Schmeichel (GK)

The Dane is his side’s undisputed first-choice for the keeper’s role. He has made it a season to remember, with 7 clean sheets to his name already.

Ricardo Pereira (RB)

One of the most noticeable performers for Leicester this season. With 70 tackles, he leads the table for the most number of successful tackles in the league.

Jonny Evans (CB)

Has been ageing like fine wine and even scored a header in the Foxes’ 4-1 thrashing of Aston Villa recently. Has looked composed at the back.

Caglar Soyuncu (CB)

The surprise of the season, Soyuncu has looked solid. His performances have been top-notch and are getting better.

Ben Chilwell (LB)

Has just returned from an injury and looked a bit off-colour against Villa. However, has immense potential and could turn the tables anytime.

Wilfred Ndidi (CDM)

Rodgers’ most crucial player in the squad, Ndidi has been consistent in every game since the season’s opener. Acts as a shield for the back-four.

Youri Tielemans (CAM)

The youngster has an excellent vision and has been impressive for the Foxes with his calculated through balls inside the final third.

James Maddison (CAM)

Was everywhere in the attack in the game against Villa. He makes good use of the spaces and is blessed with a beauty of a right foot.

Ayoze Perez (RW)

The Spaniard could be seen back in action after being benched against Villa. A cool customer inside the opposition box and has good passing skills.

Harvey Barnes (LW)

Barnes too did not make the playing XI last time, although he did come on as a substitute later. His good pace can often trouble the opposition defences.

Jamie Vardy (ST)

The star striker is on a goal-scoring spree and has now scored in all of his last 8 league outings. Has been ruthless in front of goal this season.
