The Polish striker has been a key player for Marcelo Bielsa in his promotion push this season, bagging an impressive 17 goal tally in 47 appearances across all competitions.

The 27-year-old signed for the Elland Road club in 2017 from Eredivisie side FC Twente.

Klich said, (h/t Leeds Live)

Yeah, to be fair, I never expected to play every game because I thought this was hard to do.”

“But I had a couple of games and then sort of got… there’s no player in this league who plays 46 games because it is obviously a very tough and demanding league so yeah, it is a nice challenge to do, the 46 games, and I hope I will play against Ipswich as well.”

Klich also had a great international break when he played a hand in Poland’s two comprehensive wins over Austria and Latvia.

The former Wolfsburg player spurred controversy in the
clash against Aston Villa, as he scored a goal when a player from the opposition was down on the ground.

However, the chaos was soon over after Bielsa allowed the Lions to equalize, an act of fair play.

The game ended in a 1-1 draw, putting an end to the Whites’ automatic promotion hopes.

It’s been three games since the Argentine manager has secured a win and he is looking to break the duck against Ipswich Town this Sunday.
