Player Stats

The Saint-Etienne youth product joined the Italian club Parma in 2012.

The centre-back broke into the public’s eye when he joined the Premier League club Leicester City in 2015.

Over the course of three years at Leicester, the defender failed to create a mark for himself as he often found his place in the reserves squad.

He also had his notable loan spells at Atalanta and Fiorentina.

However, Benalouane was a part of the Foxes that lifted the Premier League title in 2016.

He earned his maiden international call up for Tunisia last year.

The centre-back has fared well for the Notts this season making more than ten appearances.

Why Leeds United is not the ideal place?

Marcelo Bielsa’s men have a plethora of defenders who are performing at a higher level.

Names like Pontus Jansson, Gaetano Berardi, Luke Ayling are irreplaceable and the Tunisian international has to fight for his place if he gets a chance at the Elland Road club.

The only advantage in having Benalouane is his vast experience and he could provide cover for the primary defenders.

Bielsa‘s men are currently third in the Championship table just a place short of securing automatic promotion to the Premier League.

They will be required to compete in the Play-offs if the standings remain the same after the end of the season.
