Leeds United News: Leeds show interest in Daniel James’ alternative

Leeds United News: According to Leeds Live, Leeds are in the pursuit of Callum O’Dowda, an alternative to Daniel James.

The Whites couldn’t get the services of the Welsh winger as the supposed deal was aborted by Swans on the deadline day of the transfer window.

Now, Leeds have turned their attention towards the Irish winger who could possibly fill the void of James.

Callum was acquired by Bristol city in 2016 on a three-year deal and he was heavily linked with the Elland Road club in January. Later City extended his contract till 2020.

Marcelo-Bielsa-

With Callum’s stint entering its final phase, Marcelo Bielsa’s side has revived their interest on the 23-year-old. And the report suggests (h/t Leeds Live) Callum would likely to leave the Robins this summer.

Bristol losing players

Bristol saw two of their players joining Premier League clubs last summer and now Callum looks to follow their footsteps.

Being a youth product of Oxford United, Callum soon entered into the senior squad where he made 87 appearances.

He has scored three goals and provided four assists this season for the Robins. Moreover, the Irish youngster is also under the radar of Premier League clubs.
