Kemar Roofe

The English striker was in a great goal-scoring form before a knee ligament injury obstructed his progress.

Roofe missed most of the important games in the process and was absent for Sunday’s Villa clash with a hip injury.

The Lions managed to pick up a 1-1 draw at Elland Road after both the goals came in a controversial manner.

And the result saw the Whites missing out on automatic promotion, while Sheffield United and Norwich City made sure of their Premier League qualification.

The Whites are now destined for the playoffs next month and were handed a major injury boost with the return of Roofe.

Leeds manager Marcelo Bielsa said,

“Hopefully he’ll be available for the Ipswich game,”

The 26-year-old has scored 14 goals and provided 2 assists across all competition this season.

LUFC are awaiting their opponents in playoffs, who could any one of Derby County, Middlesbrough or Bristol City.

The Whites were touted to be the favourites to play in the Premier League before their slip-up.

Players like Pontus Jansson and Patrick Bamford were criticised for their poor display.

And the injury concerns are also growing for Bielsa, with left-wing back Ezgjan Alioski, the latest player to get injured.

Stuart Dallas had started against Villa but was soon taken off after suffering a knock. He is cleared to play in the next game.
