According to recent reports, Barcelona’s Neymar has now confirmed that he has had talks about a possible move to join Premier League giants Manchester United in the summer transfer window. The Red Devils’ executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward had made the trip to the Catalan capital back in August and it was being stated at that time, the target was Pedro.
However, the Spaniard eventually joined United’s league rivals Chelsea, but speculations have further suggested that he launched a big money bid to sign the Brazilian international. In a recent interview, when asked about Louis van Gaal’s side’s interest in his services, the Barça attacker told ESPN Brazil, “We had conversations, but there was nothing concrete. I heard that there were offers, but none were made to me.”
Neymar moved to the Nou Camp from Santos in 2013 and has scored a total of 22 league goals last term. He further added, “I want to keep giving my all and evolve season to season. I hope I will be on the Ballon d’Or podium this year.”
