One of their recent gesture, prior to the game against FC Lorient in the knockout stages of Coupe de France, again won over the hearts of football fans around the world.

For the game, PSG manager decided to give the star duo a rest unlike in the other games. Argentine forward Mauro Icardi and Angel di Maria were asked to lead the attack line alongside Pablo Sarabia, in the absence of Mbappe and Neymar.

Minutes before the start of the game, Mbappe and Neymar decided to sport the numbers 14 and 12 respectively. The rules of the game played a major role in a change in their squad numbers. The former Monaco star usually dons the number 7 while Neymar’s is number 10 but they had to sport different jersey numbers.

Mbappe then took to Twitter to pay a tribute to Falcao and one of France’s former striker Thierry Henry. The picture was captioned “Small tribute to the cracks tonight” and tagged both of their twitter handles.

Falcao, the Brazilian futsal legend is the author of 386 goals and was elected as the best player four times. Whereas, Thierry Henry, who is the manager of MLS side Montreal Impact had come close to winning the Balon d’Or in 2003 and was Arsenal’s best player at his time there.

Meanwhile, PSG qualified for the round of 16 after Sarabia gave them the breakthrough in the 80th minute against Ligue 2 leaders.
