Klopp to make 6 changes – Strongest 4-3-3 Liverpool lineup to face West Brom in FA Cup

Predicted Liverpool Lineup To Face West Bromwich Albion In The FA Cup

Liverpool will face off against Alan Pardew’s West Bromwich Albion in the fourth round of the FA Cup, at the Anfield on Saturday night.

The Reds achieved progress to this stage by defeating Merseyside rivals Everton 2-1 at home and will be hoping to stay alive in the competition with a win over the Baggies. They come into the game on the back of a 1-0 loss at the hands of Swansea City over the weekend in the Premier League and manager Jurgen Klopp will be hoping that his players bounce back from the defeat.

Team News

Club captain Jordan Henderson, striker Daniel Sturridge and left-back Alberto Moreno are all close to a full return and may play a part in the weekend’s encounter. Centre-back Dejan Lovren, who was down with an illness, is also likely to be available.

Here’s how the Reds might set out against the Baggies on the weekend:

Manager: Jurgen Klopp

Formation: 4-3-3

Simon Mignolet (GK)

The Belgian international should come back into the starting XI for the cup game, having lost his no.1 slot to Loris Karius.

Trent Alexander-Arnold (RB)

The academy graduate should get a start on the right-hand side of the defence, ahead of mainstay Joe Gomez.

Joel Matip (CB)

In the heart of the defence, Cameroonian defender Joel Matip is expected to start.

Trent Alexander-Arnold

Ragnar Klavan (CB)

The Estonian centre-half could get the nod for the cup tie against the Baggies, ahead of January signing Virgil van Dijk.

Andrew Robertson (LB)

With Moreno not yet fully fit, Klopp is likely to stick with Andrew Robertson at left-back. The Scot has been extremely impressive in the past few games and will want to build on it.

Adam Lallana (CM)

The England international could be set for a start after a series of cameo displays from the bench in recent weeks.

James Milner (CM)

In the holding midfield position, experienced veteran James Milner is likely to get the nod, with Emre Can making way.

Gini Wijnaldum (CM)

The third midfield slot for Liverpool is likely to be occupied by Netherlands international Georginio Wijnaldum.

Sadio Mane

Mohamed Salah (RW)

The club’s leading goal-scorer this season, Mohamed Salah is expected to feature from the get-go against West Brom this weekend.

Danny Ings (ST)

The English striker made a substitute appearance against Swansea and may well be handed a start by Klopp on Saturday.

Sadio Mane (LW)

On the left-hand side of the attacking trident, Senegalese speedster Sadio Mane is expected to be retained in the starting line-up.
