Predicted Liverpool Line-up To Face Everton In The Premier League
Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool broke quite a few records during their 7-0 victory over Spartak Moscow in the UCL, earlier this week, qualifying for the knockout stage of the competition for the first time in nine years. They will be high in confidence going into one of the most awaited games of the season, against Everton this weekend.
The Reds welcome their local rivals to Anfield, on the back of 3 consecutive victories. However, their record at Anfield is far from impressive and they need to be at their efficient best to grab their 5th home league win of the season.
Team News
In early team news, the Reds are still without the likes of Nathaniel Clyne, Joel Matip and Marko Grujic for this game. Midfielder Adam Lallana could find a place on the bench but full-back Alberto Moreno picked up a nasty injury in the mid-week game and is certainly ruled out. Philippe Coutinho was absent from training before the game and could miss this game. Mohamed Salah also skipped training but is expected to fit for this clash.

GK – Simon Mignolet
The Belgian has been consistent in the last few outings and will hope to have a comfortable night against a misfiring Everton attack.
RB – Trent Alexander-Arnold
Joe Gomez was exceptional in the mid-week game but with another game coming up just days later, he should be rested, with the young TAA getting a chance at right-back.
CB – Dejan Lovren
With Matip out, Lovren, who has hardly put a foot wrong since the debacle at Wembley, should act as the senior CB for Liverpool.
CB – Ragnar Klavan
Slowly establishing himself with some consistent performances, Klavan has eased Liverpool’s CB problems but could be put under pressure in this crunch game.
LB – Andrew Robertson
In spite of his three second-half assists earlier in the week, Milner should be back on the bench this weekend, with Robertson getting his second consecutive league start at left-back.
RM – Sadio Mane
Picked up a brace in the 7-0 drubbing of Spartak Moscow on Wednesday and should retain his place on the right flank to give Liverpool a cutting edge.
CDM – Jordan Henderson
The skipper of the side, Henderson, was an unused sub in the game against Spartak but should lead the side, from the middle of the park against the Toffees.
CM – Georginio Wijnaldum
After yet another impressive performance in the midfield during the UCL game, Wijnaldum is fast turning into an important player and should retain his place in the side.
LM – Alex-Oxlade Chamberlain
The former Arsenal man has been used in the first-team regularly to offer rest to key players and he could take Coutinho’s place on the left flank as the Brazilian is unavailable.
CF – Mohamed Salah
Playing his first Merseyside derby, Salah could be the danger man for Liverpool and will have to be kept quiet by Everton if they are to take anything from this game.
ST – Roberto Firmino
The Brazilian attacker is easily one of the most important players for the club at the moment and is one of the first names on the team sheet for Klopp.
