Klopp To Make 5 Changes – Strongest 4-3-3 Liverpool Line-Up To Face West Bromwich Albion

Predicted Liverpool Line-up To Face West Bromwich Albion In The Premier League

Liverpool will look to put behind their derby day woes when they face relegation-threatened West Bromwich Albion at the Anfield, on Wednesday night.

Jurgen Klopp’s men were held to a 1-1 draw by local rivals Everton in the Merseyside Derby this past Sunday at home and the manager, who was infuriated with the result over the weekend, will be keen on bouncing back with a strong performance against Alan Pardew’s side who find themselves at 17th place, just two points away from the bottom of the table.

Team News

Alberto Moreno is likely to miss out again on Wednesday, along with defensive mainstay Joel Matip. Young midfielder Marko Grujic is a doubt due to a fractured finger, while Adam Bogdan and Nathaniel Clyne remain the long-term absentees.

Here’s how the Merseysiders could take the field against the Baggies on Wednesday:

Manager: Jurgen Klopp

Formation: 4-3-3

Simon Mignolet (GK)

The Belgian shot-stopper has been decent of late for the Reds and will be looking to build on his recent displays.

Trent Alexander-Arnold (RB)

The youngster has been extremely impressive each time he’s come into the side. Might get a run out ahead of Joe Gomez, against the Baggies.

Dejan Lovren (CB)

Cost his team the derby, giving away a soft penalty on Sunday. Will be itching to bounce back with a strong display in the midweek fixture.

Dejan Lovren

Ragnar Klavan (CB)

The Estonian centre-half has been fairly solid of late and will be hoping to continue in the same way against the visiting West Brom.

Andy Robertson (LB)

With Alberto Moreno likely to face a considerable time out on the sidelines, summer signing Andrew Robertson should get a long run in the starting XI.

Emre Can (CM)

The German midfielder wasn’t part of the starting line-up against Everton, but could be set for a comeback.

Jordan Henderson (CM)

The captain of the club will sit as the deepest of the midfielders and try to dictate the pace of the game.

Gini Wijnaldum (CM)

The Dutch international was another player who wasn’t handed a start against Everton but could be back in the setup for this mid-week game.

Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah

Mohamed Salah (RW)

The club’s leading goal-scorer continues to shine bright with one stellar performance after another. Should keep his place on the right wing.

Roberto Firmino (ST)

The Brazilian forward was benched for the big game over the weekend, but should definitely start ahead of Dominic Solanke.

Philippe Coutinho (LW)

The former Inter Milan man too is set to return to the playing XI. We could be in for another surprise as Klopp might look to rest Sadio Mane for the game, meaning Coutinho could start on the left flank.
