Key Midfield Enforcer Misses Out – Strongest 3-4-3 Tottenham Lineup To Take On Arsenal

Tottenham

Predicted Tottenham Hotspur Lineup To Face Arsenal

Mauricio Pochettino’s Tottenham Hotspur were rescued by a screaming effort from Christian Eriksen as they managed to steal all three points from their trip to the Selhurst Park in the mid-week. They are still 4 points away from Chelsea at the top of the table and face a defining game this weekend.

Pochettino’s side will welcome Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal, who are slowly catching some form late in the season. They won their mid-week game over the Foxes and will not look to take anything less than all three points this weekend. Tottenham will have to put in yet another resilient performance if they are to keep up in the title race.

Team News

Danny Rose and Eric Lamela are still on the doctor’s table and are not expected to play anytime soon. But midfielder Mousa Dembele, who picked up a knock in the previous game should be fine and be back in action this weekend.

Probable Tottenham Starting XI:

Formation: 3-4-3

Manager: Mauricio Pochettino

GK – Hugo Lloris

The French star is up there with the best in his position in the league and should start this game for Tottenham Hotspur.

CB – Eric Dier

The versatile Englishman has been productive as a part of the back three for Spurs and Pochettino should continue using him for this game.

CB – Toby Alderweireld

The Belgian star has been exceptional as a sweeper at the heart of the three-man defence for Spurs and he should keep his place for this weekend against the Gunners.

CB – Jan Vertonghen

Completing the backline should be Vertonghen, who has also been in excellent form this season. This backline is easily one of the best in Europe at the moment.

RM – Kyle Walker

The marauding right-back will have a huge role to play on the wing against the likes of Alexis Sanchez on the night against Arsenal.

CM – Victor Wanyama

The former Southampton man has done exceptionally well in a deeper midfield role and he will have to be at his best to keep Arsenal at bay.

CM – Dele Alli

The English playmaker had a silent night at the Selhurst Park and he will hope to get back to scoring and creating goals for his side in this crunch tie. Should occupy the midfield alongside Wanyama as Dembele is a doubt.

LM – Ben Davies

With Rose still not back in action, Davies should enjoy an extended stay in the first team for Tottenham, late in this season.

RW – Christian Eriksen

The saviour in the previous game, Eriksen pulled off a stunner just when his side needed him the most and he will surely be up for it again, against the Gunners.

LW – Son Heung-min

With Mousa Dembele out injured and Alli occupying his position, expect the dynamic Son Heung-min to start the all-important North London Derby.

ST – Harry Kane

The English striker was also negated by Palace but he will be up against the likes of Koscielny and he has to be on top of his game to face one of the best defenders in the league.

This is how they would line up:
