Juventus vs Chelsea Preview : Will Di Matteo Drop Torres at least now??

A loss for Juventus will all but end their Champions League Campaign while a loss for the Blues will force them to depend on other results in the final match day to progress.

Who: Juventus vs Chelsea

What: UEFA Champions League – Group E

Where: Juventus Stadium, Turin, Italy

When: Tuesday 20th November, 2012, at 19:45 GMT

Juventus :

After just 3 points from their first 3 games, a group stage exit loomed over Juventus. But after their 4-0 win over FC Nordsjaelland, combined with Chelsea’s victory over Shakhtar Donetsk, Group E has opened up perfectly going into the last two rounds. Juve were held to a frustrating 0-0 draw by Lazio this weekend.

Pirlo will come back into the team after sitting out the weekend match due to suspension.

Striker Mirko Vucinic is battling to recover from flu but is bound to miss the tie and after Giovinco’s below par performance last weekend, Nicklas Bendtner will hope to get a rare Champions League start.

Juve will again start in their vintage 3-5-2 formation and do not have any other new injury or suspension worries.

Probable Team:

Buffon

Barzagli, Bonucci, Chiellini

Lichtsteiner, Marchisio, Pirlo, Vidal, Isla

Quagliarella, Giovinco

Chelsea :

Chelsea won just 2 out of their last 7 games and just like the last few seasons they continue to struggle during the late October-November period.

Mata,Oscar,Ramires,Ivanovich and Ashley Cole are set to return to the starting team after being rested in the 2-1 loss to West Brom last Saturday.

But the main question is, when will Di Matteo drop Torres? Both the club and its fans have been more than patient with the Spaniard and he is just not scoring or providing anything for Chelsea.

With Sturridge showing good signs of both movement and passing, he should be a strong contender for this match.

John Terry and Frank Lampard continue to miss out and this will hurt the Blues as these players love performing in the big Champions Leagues games.

Probable Team :

Cech

Ivanovic, Cahill, Luiz, Cole

Mikel, Ramires

Mata, Oscar, Hazard

Sturridge
