Should Jurgen Klopp Bring in These Two Liverpool Starlets Out on Loan?

Two young players with a lot of potential, but not being used at all by their parent club, sounds a little familiar doesn’t it? While everyone remembers and bleats about Chelsea having too many players out on loan, especially a few who will get a chance to play in the Blue of the club, Liverpool haven’t been the best in dealing with youngsters as well.

A pair of players, who seemed all set to star for the club last season and even this, Tiago Ilori and Lazar Markovic are away at Aston Villa and Fenerbahce on loan. The pair is under 23-years of age and have a lot of time to grow and develop, but they have a combined three appearances this season for their clubs.

Liverpool have been rocked by a couple of injuries to Danny Ings and Joe Gomez, who will miss out on the entire season campaign based on reports in the media and with a squad which really doesn’t have enough stars in it, should Klopp think about bringing these two players back into the squad?

Young guns get a go

Jurgen Klopp and his predecessor, Brendan Rodgers both have a history of bringing youth team players through to the first team. Rodgers especially deserves special mention at having brought in the likes of Sterling, Flanagan and Ibe to the Liverpool first team and Klopp could be doing something similar in a few years’ time.

The German though needs to get as many options as possible in his team, with the likes of Gomez and Ings out, they could do with a few more reinforcements. Lazar Markovic didn’t have the greatest of seasons with the club, despite his big-money move from Benfica.

Tiago Ilori

Whether it was him not setting up to the English lifestyle or Rodgers not being able to get the best out of him, Markovic always looked a little off for the Reds. Ilori, on the other hand, was away on loan, again at Bordeaux and only made 15 appearances all season. Markovic though appeared more for the Reds last season and made 31 appearances in all competitions and even scored thrice.

The problem for both the players at their new clubs is a lack of opportunities to shine. They only have made three appearances all season and with Klopp willing to give youngsters a chance and both players having the hunger to prove something to their ex-manager Rodgers, bringing them back into the team would be a great option for Klopp.
