A costume party ended with a grimace of anger in the face Queens Park Rangers board members, as their goalkeeper Julio Cesar was found wearing their London rivals Chelsea’s outfit during his fellow countryman David Luiz’s fancy dress-themed 26th birthday party. It all started when David Luiz decided to celebrate his birthday, but did not want a party either, but the decision of Júlio César to were the Blues outfit to the party came as a shock to everyone and the keeper finds himself in a world of trouble now.
The decision of Júlio César did not please QPR’s management or its fans and the images which were originally posted by Cesar’s mistress on Instagram were removed immediately. However the images have spread all over the social networking sites like a wild fire by the time it was removed which meant the keeper had to apologize for his activities.
The keeper issued a statement reading: “I would like to clarify that last night I attended David Luiz’s fancy dress birthday party and, as a joke for my friend, my family and I dressed as him. I want to assure everyone that absolutely no offence was intended.”
QPR’s director of communications Ian Taylor also released a statement regarding the issue which said:
The club’s head of communications Ian Taylor wrote: “The club is aware of an image of Julio Cesar circulating on social networking feeds. The image, which appeared on an Instagram account, has since been deleted. The club will be dealing with this issue internally.”
