Jose Mourinho To Make 4 Changes – Strongest 4-2-3-1 Manchester United Line-up To Face West Brom

Predicted Manchester United Line-up To Face West Bromwich Albion In The Premier League

Manchester United will travel to The Hawthorns on Sunday to take on West Bromwich Albion in a Premier League encounter. The Red Devils managed to pull off a nervy 1-0 win against Bournemouth in a mid-week clash and will be looking to maintain that momentum. The Baggies, meanwhile, held Liverpool to a 0-0 draw and could cause a nasty upset if United are not careful.

That said, United will need to win this to get 3 more points and stay at 2nd place in the table, especially after losing the Manchester derby last weekend.

Team News

Marcos Rojo could return to the team after missing their 1-0 win against Bournemouth. Influential Frenchman Paul Pogba continues to be suspended but Jose Mourinho will be happy since this will mark the midfielder’s third and final game of the suspension, following which he can get back to action. The Red Devils have no fresh injury concerns but Marouane Fellaini, Eric Bailly and Michael Carrick will continue to be sidelined.

Possible Manchester United XI To Face West Bromwich Albion

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Manager: Jose Mourinho

David De Gea (GK)

De Gea was spectacular against Bournemouth and United have won most of the games because of his power in goal. There is no doubt that Mourinho will use his services against an unpredictable West Brom side.

Antonio Valencia (RB)

A constant at right-back, Valencia is likely to return to his usual role. Should start this game.

Marcos Rojo (CB)

Rojo has been strong at the back ever since he returned and his solidity could be in full swing after receiving some much-needed rest.

Ashley Young

Chris Smalling (CB)

Smalling has partnered Rojo and the duo has put up some stable displays. Although he looks nervy at times, the player is adept at drawing energy from his partners to do well.

Ashley Young (LB)

Young is efficient at defending and contributes quite a bit to the attack as well and his impact on the left can be crucial for United.

Ander Herrera (CM)

Herrera does his job diligently even though he lacks pace. As long as he does the basics right, Mourinho should hand him a starting spot on Sunday.

Nemanja Matic (CM)

Matic continues to be the glue that is linking United’s attack and defence. He will be crucial at establishing control in the midfield area.

Anthony Martial (LW)

Martial’s pace and creativity will be quite useful against a seemingly resilient Baggies defence. He will have to be at his best to penetrate a back line that has restricted a lethal attacking side like Liverpool.

Romelu Lukaku

Jesse Lingard (CAM)

Lingard was subjected to a lot of mixed reviews for his display against Manchester City but the player can get things going and he could work his magic on Sunday.

Marcus Rashford (RW)

It will be interesting to see Rashford on the right-hand side with Martial on the left. The attacking duo could do wonders on either flank and a lot of United’s fortunes will depend on their creativity up front.

Romelu Lukaku (CF)

Lukaku ended his goal drought in the Premier League against Bournemouth and United will be counting on him to get his name on the scoresheet against West Brom as well.
