After losing out on Pedro, Manchester United have set their sights on Southampton forward Sadio Mane, according to the reports in Telegraph. It is understood that the Saints have received a bid from the Red Devils.
Louis Van Gaal managed outfit are believed to have interested in signing Mane since last week and even submitted an initial bid. This was the reason why United delayed the signing of Pedro Rodriguez for £21million from Barcelona and a Spaniard is set to join United’s rivals Chelsea.
The exact number of United’s bid is not clear but it is confirmed that Van Gaal is interested in signing the 23-year-old, who enjoyed an outstanding season after joining Southampton from Red Bull Salzburg for £10million last season. Mane scored 10 goals for Southampton – including the fastest hat-trick in Premier League history.
