Manchester United are looking out to bring in Celtic’s young defender Daniel Church in the summer. The inhabitants of the Old Trafford are planning on an overhaul of their youth team and seems like Church is the first few candidates deemed fit to join.
United’s under-18s lost 12 games consecutively in the start of the season leading to the then manager Paul Mcguinness’s departure and Nicky Butt replacing Brain McClair as the director of the youth academy.
United have already signed 16 year old striker Nishan Burkhart from FC Zurich, Tahith Chong,16, from Feyenoord, defender Lee O’Conner,15, from Waterford. United were also trying to sign Chruch’s teammate Jack Aitchison,16, but they missed as the youngster had already signed a three-year-deal with Bhoys.
With the likes of Marcus Rashford, Cameron Borthwick -Jackson and Timothy Fosu-Mensah making heads turn in the first team at the Old Trafford, United concentrating on their youth team makes more sense than anything else.
