Involved In 41.18% Of His Team’s Goals – Tottenham Should Complete A Move For This Explosive £11.5M Premier League Attacker

Brazilian Flair! Tottenham Should Complete The Signing Of Richarlison From Watford

Marco Silva’s Watford have emerged as a major surprise package in the ongoing Premier League campaign. Having finished in a lowly 17th position last season, the Hornets have hit new heights under their new boss and currently sit 9th in the league table and would have been much higher if not for the three consecutive losses.

A number of players have impressed for the Hornets, with midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure, summer arrival Kiko Femenia standing out, but one player who has been the main difference maker, the MVP for Silva’s side is 20-year old attacker Richarlison.

Arriving from Brazilian side Fluminense, for a reported fee of £11.5m on a five-year deal, the forward has taken the Premier League by storm, impressing everyone heavily with his flair and style of play. Richarlison has already netted 4 goals for his new club and also has 3 assists to his name in 11 Premier League appearances, which means he has directly been involved in 41.18% of his team’s goals (17) in the English top-flight this term.

For someone making a step up from the Brazilian Serie A to the Premier League, at such a young age, those are highly impressive numbers. So, it is not a surprise that a number of big hitters of England are keeping a close eye on the Brazilian sensation. As per latest reports from the Evening Standard Tottenham Hotspur are interested in making a move for the 20-year old in January.

Currently third in the Premier League table and sitting on top of their group in the UEFA Champions League, Spurs are once again making all the right noises both in England and Europe under Mauricio Pochettino. The North Londoners have a strong, well-rounded squad with a good combination of youth and experience. However, a natural winger is something that the team lacks and it is something Poch has been trying to address for quite some time now.

Richarlison would fit the bill perfectly for the Lilywhites. Capable of playing out wide or centrally, he can adjust and fit into a number of attacking systems. Someone with an array of skills and number of tricks up his sleeve, the 20-year old has proven to be a handful for the defenders to thwart. Due to this natural dribbling ability, he tends to draw a lot of fouls in dangerous areas.

Also capable of cutting inside from out wide, or hug the touchlines, Richarlison has shown good intelligence and game awareness as well and is very sharp in his movements, which should sit well with the fluid attacking system that Tottenham deploy. Add to that, his physical strength and aerial abilities, Spurs would have an exciting, versatile young forward who has shown he can cut it out at this stage.

Pochettino has displayed that he can work wonders with young talents, and there is no doubt that the Argentine will be able to chisel the Watford man into a fine player, just like he has done with a number of talents like Harry Kane, Dele Alli to name a few.

It will be difficult to prise Richarlison away from Watford in January, given how important he has become at the Vicarage Road in such a short span of time. But Tottenham should definitely look to test the Hornets’ resolve with a bid, because if they manage to sign the Brazilian, it will add another dimension to their attack and enhance their credibility for a tilt at the Premier League title.
