Impressive Sharp, poor Woodburn – The best and the worst-rated Sheffield United stars vs Norwich City

Sheffield United player ratings vs Norwich City: Who impressed and who did not?

Billy Sharp’s injury-time goal gave Sheffield United their first home victory of the season, winning 2-1 against Norwich City this afternoon.

Chris Wilder’s side took the lead within the first 10 minutes when John Egan scored a header past goalkeeper Tim Krul. Jordan Rhodes drew Norwich level with his second goal in as many games, converting Onel Hernandez’s cross from close range.

Norwich could have won the game in the second half as Rhodes hit the post and Dean Henderson pulled an outstanding save to deny Moritz Leitner. However, Sharp’s stoppage-time tap-in gave the Blades their second league win of the season.

Sheffield United player ratings

Oliver Norwood

John Fleck- 6/10

Fleck offered a strong foundation for the attackers to express themselves freely in the final third.

Stevens was a lively presence on the left, often marauding up and down to contribute equally to the attack and the defence.

Ben Woodburn- 4/10

Woodburn couldn’t influence much in the first 45 minutes and was subbed at half-time.

Billy Sharp

Billy Sharp- 8/10

Sharp produced a great attacking display as he led the line well alongside Leon Clarke. Time seemed to be running out and right at the death, Sharp scored to break Norwich’s hearts.

Leon Clarke- 6/10

Clarke worked hard but his efforts rarely came to fruition.

Substitutes

Ryan Leonard- 5/10

Leonard came in at half-time and barring a few moments, he didn’t do much.
