Celtic were on song at Dens Park as they thrashed Dundee 5-0 in the Scottish Premiership on Wednesday.
Goals from Tom Rogic, Scott Sinclair, James Forrest, Odsonne Edouard and Ryan Christie saw Celtic complete a rout as Brendan Rodgers bagged his 100th win as a Hoops’ boss.
The emphatic victory saw the Hoops move to within four Scottish Premiership points of first-placed Hearts.
Gordon had a stroll in the park as he was barely tested by the Dundee side.
Lustig was decent going forward and barely tested when it came to defending. Won the penalty for the second goal.
Boyata was a pillar at the back and absolutely gave no space to the Dundee forwards to thrive.
Just like Boyata, Benkovic was solid in defence as well and effectively passed the ball out from the back.
Bombed up and down the left with energy and purpose. His cut-back was excellently put into the net by Forrest for Celtic’s third goal.
Forrest caused a lot of problems to the Dundee defence with his movement and pace. Drove forward in the box and scored a good goal from Tierney’s cut-back as well.
McGregor was excellent throughout the game, playing the anchor role and pinging balls in all directions from midfield.
Gave Celtic the lead with a fantastic left-footed curling effort which dropped into the far corner. Enjoyed the game in a free role and caused a lot of problems to the hosts’ backline.
A tireless display from Christie, who again justified his selection. Scored Celtic’s fifth with aplomb after sent through by Edouard.
Sinclair did well on the night as he troubled the Dundee backline with his pace and unpredictability. Scored a good penalty as well.
Scored a goal and was involved in a couple of goals. Some of his touches on the ball were poor and so was his decision-making but Edouard worked very hard on the night.
Came on for Boyata to solidify the defence and did well.
Replaced Rogic but didn’t do anything noteworthy.
Celtic’s only blemish on the night would be the injury of young Daniel Arzani, who lasted only 22 minutes on his debut before being taken off on a stretcher with a knock.
