Tottenham Opinion: Spurs dream XI including Suso and Kessie

Tottenham Hotspur have been challenging on all front on a rather consistent basis of late. This is largely because of the level of change that manager Mauricio Pochettino has brought about. While they have used the transfer market smartly albeit sparingly, their ability to develop academy players into superstars is slowly starting to get recognised.

They didn’t make a single signing at the start of this season and while that hasn’t worked out badly for them, to challenge for four different trophies next season and in their quest to try and win them all, some summer reinforcements are certainly needed.

As suggested by Sky Sports, Tottenham have had scouts in Milan watching the Spanish winger Suso and the Ivorian midfield commander Franck Kessie. These two players have the potential to bring new life as well as some much-needed depth into the Spurs ranks.

Suso is a former Liverpool academy product who has made 21 appearances for the Reds during his time in Merseyside. He then moved on to AC Milan in the winter window of 2017 where he is now a key player.

Franck Kessie is an Ivorian box-to-box midfield player who is capable of commandeering a defence just as well as he’s can strike the ball from distance and get it on target. His wide range of abilities has made him an unassailable aspect of this talented and certainly improved Milan attack.

Here’s how Spurs can line up next season if the signings of these two AC Milan stars can be completed:

Dream Tottenham XI

Formation: 4-3-3

GK – Hugo Lloris

The Frenchman has certainly nailed down the starting role at Spurs and Gazzaniga is never going to pose a threat to that.

Kieran Trippier

RB – Kieran Trippier

The Englishman has had an excellent season bombarding down the right flank and is a key member of this Spurs side.

RCB – Davinson Sanchez

The Colombian has been solid at the back for Spurs whenever Pochettino has called for his services. He has the potential to be a key part of this team for years to come.

LCB – Jan Vertonghen

The Belgian centre-half is now a Premier League veteran and offers a certain degree of control and composure on the ball.

LB – Danny Rose

The English international left-back has been a good attacking threat and is very smart with his runs in behind the defence.

RCM – Dele Alli

Dele has proven time and again that he can be a game-changer and when he’s in the mood, he’s nearly impossible to stop.

CM – Franck Kessie

Bossing the middle of the park is just what Kessie does and giving him control of the whole midfield seems like just the ideal opportunity for the Ivorian to prove his true worth to the football world.

LCM – Christian Eriksen

The Danish wizard has consistently been a top performer for Mauricio Pochettino and has delivered in the most pressured of situations.

RW – Suso

Capable of tearing teams apart with his defence splitting crosses, his ability to dribble added to his long range shooting means that his is certain to be a massive upgrade on Erik Lamela.

Harry Kane

ST – Harry Kane

The undisputed number one striker in the Spurs ranks, his goalscoring record is beyond and the Englishman is still only 25.

LW – Heung-Min Son

The South Korean genius has been their saving grace on multiple occasions this season and his performances certainly warrant him a first team spot
