[Image] This 4-3-3 Spain XI featuring Barcelona and Real Madrid stars is capable of lifting the World Cup

Spain are one of the favourites to go all the way in the 2018 World Cup. They have been doing pretty well under Julien Lopetegui ever since replaced Vicente Del Bosque in 2016.

Under Lopetegui, Spain had an impressive qualifying campaign, topping Group G with 9 wins and a draw from their 10 games.

However, with an array of talent at his disposal, the Basque manager needs to find the right formula to guide La Roja to World Cup glory.

With Lopetegui set to name his final squad on Monday, let us have a look at the strongest line-up that Spain could field at the World Cup.

Probable Spain XI

Manager: Julien Lopetegui

Formation: 4-3-3

David De Gea (GK)

Arguably the best goalkeeper on the planet, David De Gea is Spain’s undisputed No.1 between the sticks.

Dani Carvajal (RB)

Carvajal is considered as one of the best right-backs in Europe. Brilliant in the attack and defensively disciplined, the Real Madrid man will keep his place under Lopetegui.

Sergio Ramos

Sergio Ramos (CB)

One of the best defenders in the world, Sergio Ramos is the defensive lynchpin of Spain. Strong and powerful, Ramos is an intimidating defender who loves to play aggressively.

Gerard Pique (CB)

Pique, one of the most composed centre-backs in modern day football, is the right man to partner the Real Madrid skipper. Ramos’ aggression and Pique’s calmness would work well for Spain.

Jordi Alba (LB)

A player reborn under Ernesto Valverde at Barcelona, Alba has been brilliant both offensively and defensively this season. He should start at left-back for Spain in the mega tournament.

Sergio Busquets (CDM)

The vital cog of Barcelona as well as Spain’s machine, Busquets quietly does his job. He occupies the holding midfield role to very good effect and provides the needed base for the attackers to flourish.

Andres Iniesta

Andres Iniesta (RCM)

A brilliant servant to both Spain and Barcelona, Iniesta will be hoping to sign off with another World Cup win.

Thiago (LCM)

Thiago’s inclusion would make Spain’s midfield a complete package. He will be tasked with providing the dynamism and energy from the middle of the park.

David Silva (RW)

The heartbeat of the national team, Silva is an indispensable figure for Lopetegui. The little magician has enjoyed a fantastic season with Manchester City and will be confident of guiding Spain to the promised land.

Isco (LW)

Isco has established himself as one of the vital players in the current Spain team. A classy touch with top dribbling skills and vision, the Madrid playmaker needs to shine if Spain are to lift the World Cup.

Diego Costa (ST)

Costa has not looked at his lethal best this season but Lopetegui has persisted with the Brazil-born attacker. He is miles ahead of Celta Vigo’s Iago Aspas.
