Fulham line-up featuring Alfie Mawson and Aleksandar Mitrovic

As per reports, Newcastle United striker Aleksandar Mitrovic is in London, finalising his move to Fulham. He will be undergoing a medical before sealing a £22million move.

The Serbian striker spent the second half of last season on loan at Craven Cottage, scoring 12 goals, as the club secured promotion to the Premier League via the Championship play-offs.

And Mitrovic could be joined at Fulham by Swansea City’s Alfie Mawson, with the Londoners reportedly confident of bagging the £25m-rated defender’s signature.

Fulham have already completed the signings of Fabri, Maxime Le Marchand, Andre Schurrle and Jean-Michael Seri this summer. And should Mitrovic and Mawson join the club, here is how Fulham can line up next season under Jokanovic.

Formation: 4-3-3

Manager: Slavisa Jokanovic

Fabri (GK)

The experienced Fabri could walk straight into the first-team, replacing Marcus Bettinelli. The Spaniard has solid Champions League experience, which shouldn’t raise eyebrows if he starts the season as Jokanovic’s first choice in goal.

Cyrus Christie (RB)

Cyrus Christie is an attacking full-back who is equally good defensively. He should start the season at right-back following Ryan Fredericks’ departure.

Alfie Mawson

Alfie Mawson (CB)

Alfie Mawson was one of the rare bright sparks in Swansea’s rather dull Premier League season last year. Strong and powerful with good passing abilities, Mawson would be a terrific addition to Fulham’s backline.

Tim Ream (CB)

Tim Ream is the leader of the team and a fantastic organiser of the defence. He has all the attributes to make it big in the Premier League.

Maxime Le Marchand (LB)

A summer recruit from OGC Nice, Maxime Le Marchand is comfortable playing at left-back and in central defence. He is a calm and composed defender who can be used in a variety of positions by Jokanovic.

Kevin McDonald (CDM)

Kevin McDonald truly is the heart and soul of the club. He doesn’t know anything other than giving 100% on and off the field. A new contract is a reward for his fantastic professionalism and attitude.

Jean Michael Seri (RCM)

Fulham pulled off a coup by recruiting OGC Nice midfield ace, Jean Michael Seri. With his intelligent play, creativity, technical quality and the fine range of passing, the Ivorian can become an instant hit at Craven Cottage.

Ryan Sessegnon

Tom Cairney (LCM)

The skipper of the club, Tom Cairney is a fantastic passer of the ball and will be crucial in Fulham’s attempts to create chances and upset the league’s big boys.

Ryan Sessegnon (LW)

Ryan Sessegnon is one of the hottest properties in England. He grabbed 16 Championship goals last season and was a force behind Cottagers’ Premier League promotion via the playoffs.

Andre Schurrle (RW)

In Schurrle, Fulham have signed a player with winning mentality and bags of top-flight experience. He is a real asset to the team and should take up the right-wing role.

Aleksandar Mitrovic

Aleksandar Mitrovic (ST)

Mitrovic was the star of Fulham’s revival in the second half of the season and provided Jokanovic’s side with the lethal finishing they needed to achieve Premier League promotion. He will be a critical focal point at the centre of the attack for the Cottagers as Jokanovic would expect him to deliver in the Premier League.
