Predicted Burnley line-up to face Tottenham in the Premier League

Burnley finally picked up a much-needed win against Brighton and Hove Albion in the Premier League. The Clarets made a very poor start to their season but have now managed to steer clear of the relegation zone.

Sean Dyche will now turn his attention to the big clash against Tottenham Hotspur this weekend. His team travel to Wembley and will be coming up against an in-form Spurs side. Burnley need to be at their best on the night.

Team News

Nick Pope, Steven Defour and Steven Ward are still out. The rest have all returned and Sean Dyche has most of his first-team stars back. The manager can field his strongest side.

Probable Burnley XI

Manager: Sean Dyche

Formation: 4-4-2

Joe Hart (GK)

Kept a clean sheet last game and deserves it given his superb performances for the club. He will surely keep his place between the sticks.

Matthew Lowton (RB)

Lowton should return to the line-up in place of Phil Bardsley for this game.

James Tarkowski (CB)

Returned from injury to score the winning goal against the Seagulls. He will continue in central defence.

Ben Mee (CB)

Has looked defensively stable over the last few games. He should continue to partner Tarkowski at the back.

Charlie Taylor (LB)

Taylor has improved a lot. He will continue to raid down the flank.

Johann Berg Gudmundsson

Johann Berg Gudmundsson (RM)

The Iceland international is the main source of supply for the Clarets. He will continue down the right flank.

Ashley Westwood (RCM)

Westwood did well in the last game and his passing was much better as well. He will keep his place in central midfield.

Jack Cork (LCM)

Cork has also done well defensively in recent weeks. He has shown good work rate in the middle of the park.

Robbie Brady (LM)

Brady’s return was very timely for the Clarets given his ability to pick out the passes.

Ashley Westwood

Chris Wood (ST)

Wood has been unfortunate not to find the back of the net. He has looked dangerous going forward.

Ashley Barnes (ST)

Barnes should continue to lead the line alongside Wood in this game.
