Rangers v Legia Warsaw Prediction: Rangers line-up
After playing out a solid 0-0 draw in the first leg away from home, Rangers will be aiming to provide the final punch in the return leg at home against Legia Warsaw and reach the group-stage of the Europa League.
Steven Gerrard’s men have made a very good start to the season and they had chances to score in Poland last week. However, they couldn’t do that, else they would have been firm favourites ahead of the second leg on Thursday.
The Polish side will carry a threat at the Ibrox but on the day, Rangers should fancy themselves to win the game outright and claim the tie.
Team News
Sheyi Ojo got a kick in the first leg of this tie, that forced him to miss the league game on Sunday. He should be back in the team on Thursday. Greg Stewart’s return from calf injury still has no timeline.
Predicted Rangers XI
Formation – 4-3-3
Manager – Steven Gerrard
Allan McGregor (GK)
The goalkeeper was one of the stars for Rangers in the first leg as he made few good saves. He should keep his place in the team for the return leg.
James Tavernier (RB)
The captain struggled to really impact the game in Poland. However, at home, he is expected to feature more and lead his side into the next round.
Connor Goldson (CB)
Goldson is probably one of the first names on the team sheet as he continues to prove his worth in a Rangers shirt.
Nikola Katic (CB)
Katic was given a much-needed rest for the St.Mirren game on Sunday. He should come straight back into the team for this game.
Jon Flanagan (LB)
Another player who was given a day off during the weekend’s game. He should also come back into the XI on Thursday.
Ryan Jack (CDM)
Jack has been a star for Rangers in the defensive midfield position. He is a certain starter for the second leg against Legia.
Joe Aribo (LCM)
The new signing has made a positive impact in a Rangers jersey. He was superb in the first leg and deserves to keep his place for the return leg.
Steven Davis (RCM)
Davis came off the bench on Sunday as Gerrard rotated his team for the league game. The manager would need the former’s experience in midfield against Legia though in a crunch European tie.
Sheyi Ojo (RW)
The former Liverpool man missed the league game due to a knock he got in Poland. He should be fit to start to the second leg on Thursday.
Alfredo Morelos (ST)
Amidst rumours of him going away (h/t Express), Morelos is a strong character when on the field and should start on Thursday.

Scott Arfield (LW)
Arfield’s creativity in the final third and his ability to add up numbers in midfield without the ball could come in handy in the second leg. A must-starter on Thursday.
