Arsenal vs Manchester United predictions: Man United line-up

While they are still celebrating their impossible comeback against PSG, Manchester United have to come back down to reality. They face Arsenal on Sunday, with the race for the top four still on.

However, given their form in the Premier League of late, things could get interesting very fast.

Arsenal, on the other hand, are struggling, with a 3-1 loss to Stade Rennes in their mid-week Europa League clash and things could get worse. However, their Premier League form is still in good shape as the Gunners are unbeaten in their last four games.

Manchester United are in great shape when it comes to the Premier League, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer yet to lose a game. The Red Devils are on a 12-game unbeaten run but with Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City coming along the way, that could change.

Team news

Eric Bailly was the latest casualty after the French centre-back limped off against PSG, with Dalot replacing him. The likes of Alexis Sanchez, Antonio Valencia, Matteo Darmian, and Nemanja Matic are ruled out.

Probable Manchester United XI

Formation: 4-3-3

Manager: Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

David De Gea (GK)

When fit, nobody else is even close to taking over from easily one of the best goalkeepers in the world. A sure starter.

Diogo Dalot (RB)

A right-back by trade, the 19-year-old has played as a right-winger of late and has done so successfully. But with Martial’s return, he should return to right-back.

Chris Smalling (CB)

With Eric Bailly walking off injured against PSG, Smalling should keep his place in the starting eleven but the centre-back has to find his form against Arsenal.

Victor Lindelof (CB)

A revelation since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took over, the Swedish star has been Manchester United’s rock at the back, playing in all but one Premier League game since December.

Luke Shaw (LB)

Like Lindelof, the former Southampton youth star has also managed to find his stride under Solskjaer, becoming a key man in the defence.

Paul Pogba (CM)

A rejuvenated Pogba has been close to perfect for Manchester United, barring his red card in the first leg against PSG. But missing the second leg could prove to be an energy boost for him against Arsenal.

Scott McTominay (CM)

He made his debut under Jose Mourinho this season and hasn’t looked back. While the 22-year-old was on the fringes of the team, injuries have seen him return to the line-up.

Andreas Pereira (CM)

The 23-year-old made a sensational impact against Southampton, and with a lot of injury issues, he should keep his place on the team-sheet.

Marcus Rashford (RW)

He stepped up against PSG and showed the world that he’s more than mature enough to be a superstar for the Red Devils.

Romelu Lukaku (CF)

He struggled to make an impact at first, but injuries have seen him find a spot in Solskjaer’s team-sheet and Lukaku has taken the chance. With six goals in his last three games, there is no doubt on anyone’s mind who will prove to be Arsenal’s biggest problem.

Anthony Martial (LW)

Anthony Martial’s return from injury couldn’t be timed any better and the Frenchman has a chance to terrorise Arsenal once again.

Tom Landry once said "Football is an incredible game. Sometimes it's so incredible, it's unbelievable." Football is and always will be the beautiful game. What every child understands, yet every adult struggles to, is that it is a game that defines the nature of the universe. But that's just me.
