[Image] Predicted 4-3-3 Liverpool XI to face Bayern – can the Reds get a win in the Allianz Arena?

Liverpool vs Bayern Munich predictions: Liverpool line-up

While they did manage to overcome a resilient Burnley with a 4-2 victory, there were a few worrying signs for Liverpool going into the mid-week fixture.

The fact that right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold limped off the field will be of concern, along with their backline’s failure to keep a clean sheet. To add to Liverpool’s problems, the Reds now have to overcome Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena.

The home side are in fine form, having won their last three games by scoring an incredible 12 goals and conceding just two in the process. That combined with Dortmund’s struggles have seen Bayern take up the top spot in the Bundesliga table, albeit only on goal difference.

It will be a mountain for both sides to climb, which makes it a very interesting game for the neutral.

Team News

Trent Alexander-Arnold limped off against Burnley but it was just as a precaution, there is a chance the young full-back could miss the mid-week clash.

However, added to that list is Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, after the former Arsenal man re-injured himself during a U23 game.

Other than that, the club only has Joe Gomez out injured as he is a long-term absentee.

Probable Liverpool XI

Formation: 4-3-3

Manager:  Jurgen Klopp

Alisson Becker (GK)

He’s become one of the best goalkeepers in the world over the last few years and the 26-year-old has kept an impressive 20 clean sheets in his 37 appearances in the PL so far.

James Milner (RB)

With Trent Alexander-Arnold walking against Burnley, James Milner should take the young starlet’s place in the line-up.

Easily one of the best centre-backs in the world, the 27-year-old has played in nearly every game this season and will keep his place.

With Joe Gomez being ruled out for the season, Matip has formed a crucial partnership with Van Dijk, which should continue.

Andrew Robertson (LB)

His rise has been simply incredible and he is easily among the best left-backs in the Premier League, if not the best.

Jordan Henderson (CM)

Liverpool’s captain cool, the Reds will need his presence on the field if they are to stay calm and overcome Bayern Munich.

Mohamed Salah (RW)

Despite Mo Salah’s struggles in the last few weeks or so, the Egyptian has made a phenomenal impact and is currently Liverpool’s top scorer.
