Predicted Chelsea line-up to face Wolves in the Premier League

Chelsea would be aiming to continue their good start in the league when they face Wolves at the Molineux on Wednesday night. The Blues got back to positive mood after defeating Fulham on Sunday, and lie third in the table, one point clear of fifth-placed Tottenham Hotspur.

They are up against a Wolves team who are out of form at the moment, winless in the last six league games. However, they are always up for the task in their home games, hence, it won’t be easy for Maurizio Sarri’s men this midweek.

Team News

Ross Barkley had a knock and was not included against Fulham. Other than that, Sarri has a full squad to pick his eleven from.

Probable Chelsea XI

Formation: 4-3-3

Manager: Maurizio Sarri

Kepa (GK)

The Spaniard made a couple of fine saves against Fulham. His value in the team keeps improving day by day.

Cesar Azpilicueta (RB)

He is one of the most important players in the team. The Spaniard’s defensive sturdiness at right-back is key.

Antonio Rudiger (CB)

The German is one of the best defenders in the team and should continue to play at centre-back.

David Luiz (CB)

The Brazilian can be shaky at times, but his passing ability from deeper positions is key to the team.

Marcos Alonso (LB)

Alonso’s attacking runs from left-back are beneficial to the team. His crossing was off-radar against Fulham but expect that to improve against Wolves.

Jorginho

Jorginho (CDM)

The Italian should continue to start at defensive midfield. He represents the system deployed by the gaffer.

N’Golo Kante (RCM)

The Frenchman was fantastic against the Cottagers. His energy is key to his play in the midfield.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek (LCM)

This might be the game where we might see the youngster finally start for the Blues in the league. Scored after coming on against Fulham.

Eden Hazard (LW)

The Belgian is the star man and is currently irreplaceable in the team. He starts every league game when fit.

Olivier Giroud

Olivier Giroud (ST)

Despite not scoring much, his link-up play helps other forwards to score or create chances.

Willian (RW)

He was rested for the Sunday game, hence, expect the Brazilian to be back in action this Wednesday. It is always a straight swap between him and Pedro for that position.
