Predicted Chelsea line-up to face Fulham in the Premier League

Chelsea will be seeking to get back to winning ways in the league when they face fellow London club Fulham at Stamford Bridge this Sunday. Maurizio Sarri’s men were humbled by Tottenham last week, leaving them further away from the top two teams in the league. They will now aim to get a win against the Cottagers and kickstart the positive momentum once again.

However, it won’t be easy as Fulham under new manager Claudio Ranieri made a perfect start last week. They will be a determined bunch and it won’t be easy to beat them.

Team News

Eden Hazard suffered a knock against but he should be fit to play on Sunday. Other than that, Sarri has a full squad to pick his line-up from.

Probable Chelsea XI

Formation: 4-3-3

Manager: Maurizio Sarri

Kepa Arrizbalaga (GK)

The Spaniard could have done better to stop the goals he conceded last week, but he made a few good saves to keep the score down. He continues to evolve in Chelsea colours.

Kepa

Cesar Azpilicueta (RB)

He should be looking to improve the defensive performance of the team against a physical Fulham team with Aleksandar Mitrovic up top.

Antonio Rudiger (CB)

The German was uncharacteristically bad against Spurs. He will be aiming to get better.

David Luiz (CB)

Luiz was close to a disgrace given some of his defensive work last week against Tottenham. He has to improve or could lose his place in the starting eleven.

Marcos Alonso (LB)

The Spaniard’s runs forward to support the attacks will be helpful against an expectedly defensive Fulham side.

Jorginho

Jorginho (CDM)

Sarri backs Jorginho to remain in the defensive midfield role despite the Italian being marked out of the game against the Lilywhites.

N’Golo Kante (RCM)

The Frenchman is not playing his favoured role but he continues to give his all for the team.

Ross Barkley (LCM)

Kovacic was very passive against Spurs and Barkley deserves a chance to play regularly in the league games.

Eden Hazard (LW)

The Belgian was in doubt for this game with a knock, but as per latest updates (h/t Independent), he should be fit for Sunday.

Alvaro Morata

Alvaro Morata (ST)

His form at Stamford Bridge has been impressive in the past few games. Expect him to lead the line.

Willian (RW)

The Brazilian didn’t start against PAOK on Thursday, hence, he should start ahead of Pedro on Sunday.
