Predicted Chelsea line-up to face Crystal Palace in the league

One of the three unbeaten teams in the league, Chelsea would be aiming to stretch their run when they welcome Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge this Sunday. Maurizio Sarri’s men were fantastic at Burnley last week, winning by a handsome 4-0 margin. Meanwhile, Palace got a valuable point at home against Arsenal.

It is a London derby and hence, the intensity of the game should be high. However, the home team have been performing well this season. Provided they don’t do anything silly, beating the Eagles won’t be a humongous task.

Team News

Eden Hazard’s back injury is better now and may be included for this game. Pedro played for few minutes against Derby and looks okay while Olivier Giroud might have to get past a late fitness test before the game. Ethan Ampadu is back in training.

Predicted Chelsea XI

Formation – 4-3-3

Manager – Maurizio Sarri

Kepa (GK)

The Spaniard has been a secured presence in goal for the Blues. Certainly fulfilling the expectations his price tag referred to.

Cesar Azpilicueta (RB)

Came on late against Derby and should be fresh enough to start the league game as usual.

Antonio Rudiger

Antonio Rudiger (CB)

The German has been fantastic in central defence. His ball-playing capabilities are helping him improve under Sarri.

David Luiz (CB)

Luiz has surprised many with his consistent form this season. Settling in well under the new management.

Marcos Alonso (LB)

Didn’t feature against Derby as he was given the game off. He should be back on league duty this Sunday.

Jorginho

Jorginho (CDM)

Just like Alonso, Jorginho was also given a day off against the Rams. Expect him to be straight back in the line-up for the Palace game.

Ross Barkley (LCM)

His performance against Burnley epitomized the talent he possesses. He seems to be ahead of Mateo Kovacic in the pecking order now.

N’Golo Kante (RCM)

The Frenchman played the full 90 minutes against Derby and was at his usual best. Expect him to keep his place in central midfield.

Willian (LW)

Hazard may start from the bench and hence, Willian could find himself on the left-wing. The Brazilian is embracing the way Sarri wants his team to play.

Alvaro Morata (ST)

With Giroud still under the cloud due to injury, Morata should continue leading the line. The latter’s goal-scoring form has been decent in the past few games.
