Predicted West Ham line-up to face Wolves in the Premier League

West Ham will travel to the Molineux to face Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League as Manuel Pellegrini’s side look to bounce back from the FA Cup disappointment.

The Hammers were knocked out of the FA Cup by lower League One outfit AFC Wimbledon at the weekend. Manuel Pellegrini will hope his West Ham side put in an improved display against Wolves.

Wolves, meanwhile, have done very well since their promotion to the Premier League this season and will look to get all three points at home on Tuesday.

Team News

Andriy Yarmolenko, Carlos Sanchez, Manuel Lanzini, Winston Reid and Fabian Balbuena are all long-term casualties for West Ham but Jack Wilshere could return to full fitness in early February.

Probable West Ham XI

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Manager: Manuel Pellegrini

Lukasz Fabianski (GK)

Fabianski has been one of the very few consistent performers for West Ham this season. He’ll be in goal against Wolves.

Pablo Zabaleta (RB)

Despite being 34, Zabaleta is going strong at the moment and has established himself as the team’s first-choice right-back.

Issa Diop

Issa Diop (CB)

Diop has been a good addition to the squad this season. He is a solid presence at the back.

Angelo Ogbonna (CB)

With Balbuena out injured, Ogbonna should continue partnering Diop at the heart of the West Ham defence.

Aaron Cresswell (LB)

Cresswell seems to have got back his mojo and will aim to put in a big performance against Wolves.

Declan Rice (CM)

Rice’s presence in the midfield has been influential for the Hammers. The partnership with Noble is flourishing well.

Declan Rice

Mark Noble (CM)

Noble will look to sit deep and dictate the tempo of the game on Tuesday. Pellegrini will expect a big performance from his skipper.

Felipe Anderson (LW)

Anderson has arguably been West Ham’s best player so far this season. His pace and trickery could make him a difficult customer to deal with for Wolves defenders.

Samir Nasri (CAM)

Nasri has the ability to pick out a pass and come up with goals as well. The Frenchman’s vision and creativity make him one of the most dangerous players in West Ham colours.

Michail Antonio (RW)

Antonio’s sudden burst of pace and directness could cause problems for the Wolves defence. He is expected to start on the right wing.
