Predicted Watford line-up to face Newcastle United in the Premier League

Watford are on the back of a 3-0 win against Huddersfield Town and will be full of confidence when they come up against a poor Newcastle United side this weekend. The Hornets travel to St. James’ Park on Saturday and will be aiming to keep pace for a European spot this season.

Rafa Benitez’s side has struggled to get out of the relegation zone and are one of the early favourites to face the drop at the end of the season.

Team News

Sebastian Prodl, Troy Deeney, Nathan Chalobah and Daryl Janmaat are all out and will be unavailable for this game. But Javi Gracia can still deploy a strong team to go out and get the win. Gerard Deulofeu has impressed after returning from injury.

Watford predicted XI

Manager: Javi Gracia

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Ben Foster (GK)

Foster has been excellent between the sticks for Watford this season.

Kiko Femenia (RB)

He picked up an assist in the last game and has done well in the absence of Janmaat.

Adrian Mariappa (CB)

The Jamaican has done well in central defence, ensuring the Hornets kept a clean sheet last time out.

Craig Cathcart (CB)

Cathcart suffered a slight knock but should be fit enough to return for this game.

Adam Masina (LB)

The left-back has kept Jose Holebas out of the team over the last two weeks. He should start once again.

Abdoulaye Doucoure (RCM)

The all-action midfielder has taken his game to the next level under Gracia this season.

Etienne Capoue (LCM)

Capoue’s drives through the middle will cause all sorts of problems for the Magpies.

Will Hughes (RAM)

Hughes has also flourished in a regular role under Gracia this season.

Gerard Deulofeu (CAM)

The former Barcelona star has already made a massive impact on the Watford attack. He scored a superb goal last time out as well.

Gerard Deulofeu

Roberto Pereyra (LAM)

Pereyra has once again found his scoring form and should aim to make it three in three against the Magpies.

Isaac Success (ST)

Success was always underrated but he proved his worth against the Terriers last week and deserves to find himself in the starting XI for this one.
