Rangers welcome league leaders Hearts to the Ibrox on Sunday in what is expected to be a cracker of a game in the Scottish Premiership.
Rangers have been poor in the league, which has them at 6th place and looking to push up the table. It’s a must-win game for Steven Gerrard and co. who trail Hearts by eight points after seven games.
Meanwhile, Craig Levein’s Hearts currently sit on top of the table and are undefeated in the league this season.
Ryan Jack is expected to rejoin Gerrard’s squad after recovering from a calf strain. Jamie Murphy has been ruled out for the season while Lee Wallace faces another week or so on the sidelines with a groin problem.
McGregor has been stellar in goal since re-joining Rangers in the summer and will retain his place in the starting XI on Sunday.
Tavernier has improved under the guidance of Gerrard this season. He will lead Rangers against Hearts on Sunday.
Goldson has proven to be a top summer acquisition for the Gers. He is a certain starter for Sunday’s game at Ibrox.
Partnering Goldson at the heart of the defence could be Katic, who has been very impressive so far in his first season at Ibrox.
Aggressive and powerful, Barisic is a leader on and off the pitch. He is expected to start the game against Hearts at left-back.
Coulibaly will have a massive role to play against the league leaders. The combative midfielder needs to be at his sublime best to boost Rangers’ chances of bagging all three points.
Given his current form, Ejaria simply cannot be dropped. He could partner Coulibaly in central midfield on Sunday.
Candeias is yet to find his form this season despite getting opportunities of late. The Portuguese forward has to deliver the goods when Rangers host Hearts at the Ibrox.
Starting in the No.10 role could be Arfield, who will look to find spaces behind the opposition defenders and bring creativity to his team’s play in the final third. A game of such magnitude would definitely need experience and the Canadian is the perfect player to provide that.
Kent has established his place in the starting XI on the left flank. He is a certain starter against Hearts.
Morelos will be bursting with confidence after his midweek Europa League brace against Rapid Vienna. He could be tasked with leading Rangers’ attack on Sunday ahead of Kyle Lafferty.
