Predicted Norwich City XI to face Bolton in the Championship

Norwich faced a terrible meltdown in the midweek as their defence seemed to absolutely fall apart on three separate occasions. Preston took advantage and by the final third of the game, the Canaries were already 3-0 down.

They have given up the pole position to Leeds United yet again and are currently a point behind the Whites. They will be looking to bounce back when they travel to the University of Bolton stadium at the weekend. With Leeds not playing until later in the week, the Canaries could use this match to recapture the lead.

Team News

Moritz Leitner and Timm Klose are close to returning and are back in training but are still a doubt for this fixture. Carlton Morris is out with a long term injury and isn’t expected back until April.

Mario Vrancic picked up a knock that will keep him out for a few weeks, which is a massive blow to Daniel Farke. Added to Louis Thompson’s expected return in April, there is a suddenly a lot of concern in the Canaries ranks.

Probable Norwich City XI

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Manager: Daniel Farke

GK – Tim Krul

The former Newcastle man has been very good for the Canaries this campaign and has kept them in many matches with some smart saves.

RB – Maximillian Aarons

The highly rated wingback has been in very good form this campaign and will be a crucial aspect of their attack in the upcoming game.

RCB – Christoph Zimmerman

The German giant has been quite good for Norwich this campaign and will have to be at his absolute best to try and stop Adam Armstrong.

LCB – Ben Godfrey

Among others, Godfrey was one of the culprits in their meltdown against Preston in midweek and will be looking to bounce back.

LB – Jamal Lewis

He has been exceptional on the overlap for the Canaries this campaign and is expected to start this game against Bolton.

RDM – Alexander Tettey

Having recently returned from injury, he has replaced the injured Mario Vrancic in the middle of the team and will be looking to impress.

LDM – Tom Trybull

Another important member of the Canaries team, his defensive work will be important in this key game

RAM – Emiliano Buendia

He has been their most creative threat in the attack this campaign and must turn up against Bolton to try and recapture top spot.

CAM – Marco Stiepermann

The 28-year-old German has been good at linking up the play this season. He should start this game.

LAM – Onel Hernandez

The Cuban international winger didn’t showcase his capabilities in the last game and must make up for it with a good performance on the weekend.

ST – Teemu Pukki

The Finnish striker has been their best goal scoring threat this campaign and scored their consolation goal against Preston as well.
