Predicted Man United line-up to face Brighton in the Premier League

Manchester United will aim for a seventh successive victory under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer when they host Brighton on Saturday.

The Red Devils have been in scorching form under caretaker manager Solskjaer and have scored 17 goals and conceded just three since his arrival last month. The Norwegian tactician also passed his first real test last weekend as Manchester United overcame Tottenham 1-0 at Wembley.

Confidence will be sky high for Solskjaer’s men but Brighton could provide a tough test after being narrowly beaten at home by Liverpool last weekend.

Team News

Eric Bailly is available following his three-match suspension.

Alexis Sanchez is set to return to full training this week and could be back available for Saturday’s game following a hamstring injury, while Chris Smalling will also push for a start. But Marcos Rojo remains out of action.

Probable Manchester United XI

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Manager: Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

David De Gea (GK)

Produced an outstanding display between the sticks in the 1-0 victory over Tottenham. There is no way he doesn’t start against Brighton.

Ashley Young

Ashley Young (RB)

Young continues to lead well in the absence of Antonio Valencia. He’ll keep his place at right-back.

Victor Lindelof (CB)

Lindelof is playing the best bit of football of late in Manchester United colours. The Swede has vastly improved and doesn’t get flustered in pressure situations anymore.

Eric Bailly (CB)

Bailly could walk straight into the line-up after serving his three-game suspension. The Ivorian will look to repay his manager’s faith with a solid performance against Brighton.

Luke Shaw (LB)

Shaw has been a consistent performer since the start of the season. He’ll continue performing at left-back.

Nemanja Matic

Nemanja Matic (CM)

Matic has immensely benefited under Solskjaer with the Serbian looking more confident on the ball and playing with a lot of energy.

Ander Herrera (CM)

Partnering Matic in the middle of the park should be Herrera, who will aim to keep his good form going.

Juan Mata (RW)

Mata could be given the nod ahead of Lingard on the right. The Spaniard’s creativity will be key to unlocking the tight Brighton defence.

Paul Pogba (CAM)

Pogba looks a completely different player under Solskjaer. The Frenchman is showing his true value and is set to start on Saturday.

Anthony Martial

Anthony Martial (LW)

With his silky dribbling skills and unpredictable movement, Martial will look to give the Brighton defenders a tough time.

Marcus Rashford (ST)

Rashford is simply unstoppable at the moment, showing every trait of a perfect No.9. He’ll again get the nod ahead of Lukaku to lead Manchester United’s attack.
