Predicted Leicester City line-up to face Liverpool in the Premier League

Leicester City visit league leaders Liverpool at Anfield for their next game, and the pressure will be on them to get a result. The Foxes played well but lost 4-3 to Wolves in their previous game where the defence was close to non-existent. Claude Puel’s men need to come up with a better solution to deny the leaders from scoring.

On the other hand, Liverpool have scraped two wins in their last two games to reaffirm their top spot in the league. They are nearly unbeatable at their home ground, hence, it won’t be easy for Leicester to go there and get something. However, this is the Premier League, and we can expect anything to happen.

Team News

Daniel Amartey is still out of the picture and could only come back to first-team action by March. Harry Maguire was subbed off against Wolves after he picked up a knock. It was not a serious injury, however, we will have to wait and see what happens there.

Probable Leicester City XI

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Manager: Claude Puel

Kasper Schmeichel (GK)

He is their first-choice keeper and starts almost every league game. Same should the case on Wednesday.

Danny Simpson (RB)

The experienced Simpson wasn’t at his best against Wolves. He should improve or the Liverpool attack may punish him.

Wes Morgan

Wes Morgan (CB)

The captain would be looking to bring stability and security at the back, which wasn’t there at the Molineux.

Jonny Evans (CB)

Since Maguire’s injury situation is still touch and go, we could see Evans starting alongside Morgan.

Ben Chilwell (LB)

The Englishman has had a terrific season so far. He would relish playing against one of the best teams in the league.

Wilfried Ndidi (CM)

He would be aiming to shield the back-line and keep the midfield tight on Wednesday.

Wilfried Ndidi

Nampalys Mendy (CM)

He has been a good partner to Ndidi in central midfield, however, the performance level needs to increase if they are to get anything at Anfield.

Harvey Barnes (LW)

Scored a goal on his Premier League debut and looked a good player down the left-hand side. His runs on the break could be crucial.

Demarai Gray (CAM)

The youngster would be looking to help the midfield without possession and play between the lines when the team has the ball. His link-up with Vardy would be key.

Ricardo Pereira (RW)

He has established himself as one of the main men in the team whether he starts at right-back or right-wing. The latter suits him better though.

Jamie Vardy (ST)

The striker has a very good record against Liverpool and his runs in behind the defence on the break would test the Reds.
