Derby County vs West Brom predictions: Derby County line-up

Derby County will be looking to confirm their playoff spot on Sunday as they face 4th-placed West Brom at the Pride Park Stadium.

Frank Lampard’s side have done admirably all season, playing an attractive brand of football and will be looking to do more of the same if they are to get promoted to the Premier League next season.

With Middlesbrough and Bristol City on their coat-tails, a draw might not be enough. Hence, they’ll have to play their very best team to stand a chance of getting promoted.

Team News

Skipper Richard Keogh is a doubt after limping out in their last game against Swansea.

On the positive side, Chelsea loanee Fiyako Tomori looks set to start against the Baggies after recovering from the dead leg that he suffered against Bristol City.

Probable Derby County XI

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Manager: Frank Lampard

Kelle Roos (GK)

Didn’t start all the games at the start of the season but is the Number one now.

Jayden Bogle (RB)

Has been a consistent presence for Derby on that right flank. One of the first names on the team-sheet.

Fiyako Tomori (CB)

The Chelsea loanee is their player of the season. When fit, he starts for sure.

George Evans (CB)

Has deputised when injuries have hampered Timori and will do the same for the injured Keogh.

Scott Malone (LB)

The left-back has been the go-to choice for Frank Lampard on most occasions but is an area of weakness.

Tom Huddlestone (CM)

The veteran is still going strong. His experience is vital for this young derby side.

Bradley Johnson (CM)

His partnership with Tom Huddlestone provides balance to the team. Has appeared 21 times this season in the Championship.

Mason Mount

Mason Mount (CM)

The Chelsea loanee has been very impressive all season. Having scored 8 goals in the Championship, Frank Lampard has tasked him with the creative burden of the team.

Harry Wilson (RW)

The Wales international has had a breakthrough season. A set-piece specialist with a wand of a left foot, the Liverpool loanee has been the club’s top goalscorer this season.

Tom Lawrence (LW)

The winger has been a consistent performer on the left, appearing 29 times in the league this season. He should make it 30 against West Brom.

Martyn Waghorn (CF)

The striker provides balance to the attacking unit by being a foil for the likes of Wilson and Mount. He’s Lampard’s go-to striker.
