Rangers vs Celtic Predictions – Celtic line-up

After clinching the title last week, Celtic would be aiming to rub more salt into Rangers’ wounds when they take the field at the Ibrox for the final Old Firm derby of this season.

Neil Lennon’s men comfortably got past Aberdeen last week to open up a nine-point gap at the top of the table, which is mathematically insurmountable over the next two games.

On Sunday, they will face a Rangers side who must be looking for some retribution from the last time they played each other. Hence, we can expect another fiery encounter even though nothing is on the line except pride.

Team News

Ryan Christie, Daniel Arzani and Dedryck Boyata are out for the season. Mikael Lustig picked up a knock last week and is a doubt for this game.

Probable Celtic XI

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Manager: Neil Lennon

Scott Bain (GK)

He is now their first-choice keeper and should be in goal on Sunday.

Kristoffer Ajer (RB)

With Lustig a big doubt for this game, Ajer may have to switch to right-back.

Jozo Simunovic (CB)

In Boyata’s absence, Simunovic has been doing a great job in central defence. He is certain to keep his place for this game.

Filip Benkovic (CB)

With Ajer shifting to right-back, Benkovic may get a chance to start at centre-back.

Kieran Tierney (LB)

Tierney is their first-choice left-back and should start here on Sunday. He has struggled a bit with injuries, but should be okay for this weekend.

Scott Brown (CM)

The captain would look to put up another great performance against the arch-rivals this weekend. We all know what happened the last time he played Rangers.

Callum McGregor (CM)

He has been a regular starter in midfield since returning from injury. Expect him to partner Brown on Sunday.

James Forrest (RW)

Forrest has been starting regularly on the right wing and would do the same against the Gers.

Tom Rogic (CAM)

The Aussie star has been in good form as a number 10. He should keep his place for this game.

Jonny Hayes (LW)

Timothy Weah and Scott Sinclair haven’t been effective on the left wing. Hence, Hayes may get another chance to shine in that position.

Odsonne Edouard (ST)

The Frenchman has been in decent form up front for the Hoops. He is certain to lead the line on Sunday.
