Celtic vs Rangers FC predictions: Rangers line-up

The Old Firm is back and it should be back with a bang as the Rangers look for win number 161. They lead the derby total, with a total of 160 wins out of 415, but the Hoops are closing in on them and the title.

Celtic have a ten-point lead despite losing Brendan Rodgers, which puts the onus on the Old Firm once again.

With just a handful of games left, the Old Firm derby could effectively be the title race, and it is a game that Steven Gerrard needs to win. The Rangers boss hasn’t had the best time of late, with just one win in the last five games.

This includes a 2-0 loss to Aberdeen and a 1-1 draw to Kilmarnock, which has pushed them further away from Celtic. The Hoops, on the other hand, have won four of their last five and have a chance at a domestic treble.

Jamie Murphy is still out with a long-term knock. Graham Dorrans is back in training along with Matt Polser, Borna Barisic and Gareth McAuley.

However, none of the three might make the final squad, with their injuries still being observed on a day-to-day basis.

Another key star in Steven Gerrard’s starting eleven, Goldson has played in all but four games and should keep his place.

Joe Worrall (CB)

The young centre-back is on loan from Nottingham Forest and is making a name for himself. Should start this game.

Andy Halliday (LB)

A defensive midfielder by trade, the 27-year-old has been used successfully as a left-back in the absence of Borna Barisic.

Ryan Jack (CDM)

With 22 games to his name, Jack has done relatively well for the Rangers, and will have to be at his best against Celtic.

Daniel Candieas (RM)

He has produced 10 goals so far, but has struggled to find the net recently, with just one goal in his last 13 appearances.

Glen Kamara (CM)

As he has underwhelmed in recent weeks, it is the perfect time for the midfielder to step up his game and show Celtic exactly what he can do.

Lassana Coulibaly (CM)

The 22-year-old has been good for Rangers, thanks to his stamina and box-to-box ability. Should start in the middle of the park.

Ryan Kent (LM)

In 21 appearances this season for the Liverpool loanee, the 22-year-old has produced 11 goals so far. This could be a really big game for him.
