Leicester City vs Bournemouth prediction: Leicester City line-up

Leicester City welcome Bournemouth to the King Power Stadium on Saturday as Brendan Rodgers eyes all three points in the Premier League.

The Foxes edged past Newcastle United on penalties to secure a place in the Carabao Cup third round draw on Wednesday. They’ll now be hoping to head into the international break with a positive result against the Cherries.

Bournemouth, meanwhile, come into Saturday’s game after a Carabao Cup second run win over Forest Green.

Team News

Ben Chilwell the last two Premier League games with a hip injury but he’s likely to be fit ahead of weekend’s encounter. Wilfred Ndidi missed the Sheffield United game and the Carabao cup tie against Newcastle as well with a hamstring strain but should recover to face Bournemouth.

Probable Leicester City XI

Formation: 4-1-4-1

Manager: Brendan Rodgers

Kasper Schmeichel (GK)

Schmeichel is a permanent fixture in goal and that is unlikely to change for Saturday’s game.

Ricardo Pereira (RB)

Ricardo is an attacking right-back but is also defensively sound. He should keep his place.

Jonny Evans (CB)

Evans is a reliable presence in the defence and will aim to keep the Bournemouth attackers at bay.

Caglar Soyuncu (CB)

Soyuncu has been solid thus far for the Foxes this season. Dependable and solid in the air, the Turkey international is expected to continue in the same vein.

Ben Chilwell (LB)

Fuchs did well at left-back in the last few games but he’ll have to make way for Chilwell, who is expected to recover from the hip problem in time.

Wilfred Ndidi (CDM)

A sharp tackler, Ndidi excels in breaking the opposition play and recycling possession. He is one of the first names on Rodgers’ team sheet.

Hamza Choudhury (RCM)

Choudhury brings balance and calmness to the midfield. He will retain his place in the starting XI.

Youri Tielemans (LCM)

Tielemans is more of a box-to-box midfielder who can manoeuvre the ball forward and create openings for his teammate with his incisive passing.

James Maddison (LW)

One of the first names on the team sheet, Maddison is a classy operator of the ball, loves to carve open defences with his creativity and flair and is more than capable of the spectacular.

Ayoze Perez (RW)

Ayoze adds a lot of energy and tenacity to the Leicester City press. He should start on the right flank against the Cherries.

Jamie Vardy (ST)

Spearheading the attack for the Foxes should be star striker Jamie Vardy. He is indispensable to Leicester and will have a big task on his shoulders on Saturday.
