Ipswich Town vs Leeds United predictions – Leeds United line-up

After playing out a controversial draw against Aston Villa last week, Leeds United would be aiming to win the final game of the season when they face Ipswich Town at Portman Road this Sunday.

The Whites haven’t won a game in the last three, hence, the current form isn’t all that great. As a result of that, they will now contest in the playoffs rather than finishing in the automatic promotion places.

This weekend, Marcelo Bielsa’s men face an Ipswich side who have already been relegated and their current form isn’t positive either.

Team News

Ezgjan Alioski and Barry Douglas are out for the season. Kemar Roofe sat out the Villa game due to a hip injury but he is expected to be fit for this game.

Stuart Dallas was taken off at half-time on Sunday and wouldn’t be fit for this weekend. Patrick Bamford could face a two-game ban after being charged with “successful deception of a match official” by the Football Association.

Probable Leeds United XI

Formation: 4-1-4-1

Manager: Marcelo Bielsa

Kiko Casilla (GK)

He is their first-choice keeper since arriving in January and should be in goal on Sunday.

Luke Ayling (RB)

His form has been up and down in the past few weeks. Regardless of that, the right-back should keep his place.

Pontus Jansson (CB)

The Sweden international is their first-choice centre-back and is expected to start on Sunday.

Liam Cooper (CB)

The captain has been in and out of form of late. He needs to improve his game and perform well in the playoffs.

Gaetano Berardi (LB)

With Douglas, Alioski and Dallas out, Berardi, who is actually a right-back, may have to start on the other side.

Kalvin Phillips (CDM)

Phillips had a good game against Villa last time out. He should keep his place in the team.

Mateusz Klich (RCM)

The Pole scored a controversial goal last week and played well in midfield. He is expected to start again this Sunday, just like every other league game this season.

Tyler Roberts (LCM)

Adam Forshaw couldn’t really impact in attacking midfield on Sunday, hence, we could see Roberts getting another chance.

Pablo Hernandez (RW)

Hernandez has to be in good form if Leeds are to finish the season well and prevail in the playoffs. The Spaniard has been in and out of form at the moment, however, he is almost certain to start on Sunday.

Kemar Roofe (ST)

With Bamford suspended, Roofe should lead the line against Ipswich.

Jack Clarke (LW)

Jack Harrison has been in a very bad form on the left wing. Hence, Bielsa must hand Clarke a chance to shine.
