Wolverhampton Wanderers vs Watford predictions: Wolves line-up

After a fantastic victory over Manchester United in the quarter-finals, Wolves now head to Wembley to face Watford. A place in the finals of the FA Cup will be the icing on the cake after an incredible season in the Premier League.

Nuno Espirito Santo will have to work his magic again to beat a strong Watford side who are high on confidence after their 4-1 drubbing of Fulham in midweek.

Team news

Wolves have been hugely lucky in terms of injuries as Nuno Espirito Santo has every single player available at his disposal for the massive game at the weekend.

Probable Wolves XI

Formation: 3-5-2

Manager: Nuno Espírito Santo

Rui Patricio (GK)

The Portuguese shot-stopper had a brilliant game against Manchester United in the midweek and made some crucial saves. He is expected to continue in goal on Sunday.

Connor Coady (RCB)

The skipper has been a mainstay in the Wolves squad and is expected to lead the backline against Watford on Sunday.

Ryan Bennett (CB)

The 29-year-old sat out the game against Manchester United in the quarterfinals but is expected to return to the starting line-up at Wembley on Sunday.

Willy Boly (LCB)

The former Porto man has been a rock at the back for Wolves this season and his presence will be important against an attacking Watford side this weekend.

Matt Doherty (RWB)

The Irishman has been one of Wolves’ best players this season as he provides a brilliant balance between the attack and the defence. He should be at his best to control the movement of Roberto Pereyra on Sunday.

Joao Moutinho (CM)

The Portuguese international has been massively influential for Nuno Espirito Santo’s side so far and his creativity in the midfield could determine Wolves’ fate in the competition.

Leander Dendoncker (CM)

After a difficult start to life in the Premier League, Dendoncker has settled in nicely in recent games and has been a huge influence on Wolves’ results. He should start again on Sunday.

Ruben Neves (CM)

The Portuguese beast has been brilliant for Wolves all season and his performances in the final few games will determine Wolves’ chances of qualifying for Europe next season.

Jonny Castro (LWB)

The Spaniard was rested in favour of Ruben Vinagre on Tuesday but should return to the starting line-up against Watford at Wembley this weekend.

Diogo Jota (ST)

With 8 goals and 5 assists so far this season, Jota has been a key player for Nuno Santo and he would be hoping to continue his tremendous form on Sunday.

Raul Jimenez (ST)

The Mexican has been a star for Wolves this season, having scored 15 goals and provided 8 assists so far this season. His partnership with Jota has been impressive and the duo should look to cause havoc in the Wolves backline on Sunday.
